MET TOP COP, A UNIFORMED CRIMINAL JAILED FOR FOUR YEARS
 

Scotland Yard Commander Ali Dizaei has been found guilty of threatening and falsely arresting a man in a row about money.

A jury at Southwark Crown Court convicted him of misconduct in public office and perverting the course of duty.

During the trial the court heard that the 47-year-old got in to a row with Waad al-Baghdadi over £600 which Dizaei owed him for work on a website.

After a scuffle outside a restaurant Dizaei arrested the 24-year-old Iraqi and attempted to frame him for assault.

The jury was told Dizaei said to Mr al-Baghdadi he would "f*** up your life" and there were "10 witnesses" who would back him up.

The case is currently in the hands of the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

IPCC head Nick Hardwick said: "The greatest threat to the reputation of the police service is criminals in uniform like Dizaei.

"Corruption comes in many forms and remains a threat to the police service. It requires constant vigilance to fight it. Integrity must not be negotiable."

Dizaei has been suspended from Scotland Yard on full pay since September 2008.

The Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) will eventually be responsible for deciding what happens to him.

The MPA has the power to sack Dizaei, as well as forcing him to give up all or part of pension.

Suspended on full pay since 2008, how do you get a job like that?

It really makes me very angry when some of these Asian cops see that playing the race card is a way of filling their pockets with our cash.

This criminal should be sacked immediately and his pension should be forfeited, he must not be allowed to gain financially from his criminal acts.

Well as I write this piece I see on TV that he has been jailed for four years,

I never thought I would see this bully jailed, he should have been jailed 8 years ago when he was last in court and he should certainly never have received £80,000 in a payout that stinks.
