I choose to stand as a local candidate in the Llansamlet ward as many issues are not being addressed by other parties supposedly representing the people of this area. There is no one voicing their true opinions and no one for the residents to turn to and speak up for them. I Claire Thomas from the National Front will tackle these problems head on.

One of the many problems that stands out that I will be addressing are the travellers sites. Why when so many people have signed petitions against them are they still going ahead? The proposal for a new traveller site is at the old Drummau House site on Birchgrove Road. Permission would allow 4 pitches (8 caravans) for 4 years for at least 20 travellers.

Other places have been looked at around the area but what the council need to remember is Llansamlet is already playing host to one site. Why is another needed? The site is inappropriate for the area being close to a built up place and  near a primary school where this will cause disruption to families.

The National Front hold strict family values and our policies state We will fight for the British people of our Country putting British people first and that is what I will do. I will be available to listen to what the people of Llansamlet want, make a plan with them and put forward their needs as a community. We will fight any further take over of this community by opposing expansion of these sites and any others the council has planned.

We laid a wreath at the entrance to the Royal Artillery Barracks with all the other tributes and it was very emotional for all present. Then we made our way to the Cenotaph and laid another wreath and had a minutes silence as a mark of respect for Drummer Rigby.

This was a superb event and thank you to all who turned up and joined us on this day.

We handed out over 1000 leaflets against the despicable murder of Soldier Lee Rigby and how the politicians and their open door policy on mass immigration and sending our troops to fight illegal wars was to blame for the murder.

We then with the permission of GMP held a march through the town centre and back.

Shoppers came to a standstill and applauded us as we marched with our Union jack flags, banners and placards. We then held a minutes applause for Lee at the Cenotaph and people drinking in Weatherspoons and Wyldes came out and joined in the minutes applause.

Beware there are 4 minutes of adverts at the beginning and the actual clip featuring Dave comes on after 9 mins of the programme. You may be able to fast forward to the clip! As an alternative we have our own recording which you can view below.

The local newspapers have been a disgrace as usual and after submitting answers to their questions they have given us 20 words in a statement on two days this week. The other candidates have been given 60 or 70 words each. Looks like they are scared to print our answers to the questions asked.

EMMA West has pleaded guilty to hurling racist abuse at passengers on a crowded Croydon tram.

The mother-of-two had maintained her innocence for nearly two years despite her rant being caught on camera and then watched by 11 million people after the video was posted on YouTube.

But at Croydon Crown Court yesterday (Monday) the 35-year-old dramatically changed her plea.

Her legal team had argued that West did not want to plead guilty for fear of being branded a racist.

Right wing groups such as the National Front and British National Party had adopted her cause after she was charged with a racially aggravated public order offence in November 2011.

The National Front became involved with the case of Emma West because her case had already been hijacked by extremists. Her MP Gavin Barwell (Conservative) blogged “It’s people like this we could do without in this country” which had a link to the video, clearly showing her sons face.

The Crown Prosecution Service had her bail refused for her own safety, because they claimed people had been making threats online, yet they didn’t report any threats to the police.

While the National Front doesn’t condone behaviour like we saw in the video, the response of the press, police, CPS and various extremist politicians was completely out of proportion. A similar incident took place on a London bus where the perpetrator Vandell Brooks was a black woman and the incident was handled a lot more delicately.

We wish Emma West and her family all the best and hope they are allowed to get on with their lives.

With our flags and banners out and the shoppers at a standstill I gave a speech. The Police then marched us to the town hall where our people took to the steps and we held a minutes applause for Drummer Lee Rigby.

We then dispersed and about 30 of us headed to Rochdale. Once there we regrouped and went into the town centre where we were joined by about a dozen Rochdale lads. The police asked me what I intended to do. I informed them “we are going to hold a march through the town centre” and to my surprise he agreed to it.

As we marched through the town centre with banners and flags flying, the public lined the streets giving us applause and thumbs up. After the March we went to the Cenotaph and held a minutes silence for Lee Rigby and then dispersed.

Everyone left feeling on top of the world. One high note was Drummer Lee Rigby’s step sister joining us in Oldham.

We knew that the locals had not been informed officially that there are “live” plans on file within Aberdeen city council so we chose to hold the event in order that they would become aware of the plans.

During the demo we had many locals coming up to us and thanking us for holding the event. All of the locals confirmed that they would be at the next demo and they would inform their family/friends that the plans can be moved on at any time.

Contrary to reports from the deluded assortment of reds at the other side of the road, there were more than 15 of us as can be verified by the police and by way of the photographs which were taken. Once we get the photos sent to us we will publish them and the reds can start a head count on those appearing in them.

Our Scottish organiser Dave was interviewed by local press and radio reporters and bizarrely was asked by the senior police officer on duty if I would have a chat with the local councillor Jim Noble (SNP).

Jim started off by getting rather emotional when he asked me why we were holding a demo!

This is the same councillor who last year emailed me and said no talks had taken place for over 7 years with the Muslim community regarding a new Mosque. I sent him a council document from 18th May 2012 which stated that there had been talks and that the talks were being advanced. Radio silence from Jim boy after that.

We never claimed that we would have hundreds of people at the demo but what we did do was say that we will hold many more demos in Seaton and the numbers at each demo will increase.

Today was only the beginning and now that we know that the locals are happy to campaign alongside us we will be in the area regularly building up support for the campaign.

A special mention must go to the police for their handling of our event and we were praised by the police for our behaviour and co-operation with them unlike the “unwashed” at the other side of the road.

Thanks to all of those who took the time to attend our event especially those who travelled to join us.

Danny chaired the meeting with the NF Membership Secretary as guest speaker.

Many important issues were raised and highlighted at the meeting including; family values, children’s education, the breakdown of local communities through drug addiction/misuse, benefit fraud/misuse along with the slowly but continued increase and presence of immigration within Dorset.

The meeting also discussed how to go about building support in their community by being pro-active about local issues of concern, also being active for the Party with leafleting and standing in future elections.

A donation was held for the partner of the recently murdered soldier Lee Rigby, with all funds raised going directly to the family. Thank you from Weymouth NF to all who were able to give a donation to this very worthy cause.

A very productive and pleasant day was had by all who attended the meeting, many thanks to Weymouth NF for a enjoyable day and all the best with their continued growth within the Weymouth community.
