Traveller Camp In Suburbia? No Thank You!

Aberdeen City Council, well specifically Councillor Cooney, have in their infinite wisdom (yes, we know by now they have none at all) decided to push ahead with plans for a “Temporary” Traveller Camp slap bang in the middle of an Aberdonian housing estate. Well, it depends who you ask as with regards it being in a housing estate as Councillor Cooney has stated the site as being “as remote from housing as you can get in Aberdeen.” Is he referring to the same Granitehill Road in Aberdeen as I am, for even a simple Google map view will show you there are houses on the actual road directly across from the site…
